PCN Lead Nurse Leadership Day Face to Face at SHOUT Preston

If so, then we are inviting you to join us on 30th June at SHOUT in Preston for day one of our FREE Leadership Development programme (day two to be confirmed in February 2027)
We are delighted to welcome Jana Kennedy, an experienced management consultant, facilitator, and leadership coach, who will lead both sessions. This programme is designed to provide space for reflection, connection, and development, supporting Lead Nurses to strengthen their resilience and leadership capabilities in times of change.

PCN Lead Nurses are invited to our leadership day on 30th June at SHOUT in Preston 9.30-3.30 for Day one of our Leadership programme. the second date will be confirmed in February 2027.

Programme Aim
To enable Lead Nurses to reflect, reconnect, and enhance the resilience and leadership skills needed to navigate change effectively.
What the Programme Will Cover
Across the two days, you will explore:
  • Resilience
  • Values
  • Trust
  • Personal preferences
  • Leading through change
  • Coaching skills
Day 1: Aims and Objectives
  • Explore resilience within a leadership context and identify practical ways to sustain it
  • Clarify personal values and how these underpin purpose, wellbeing, and self-care
  • Strengthen understanding of trust and how to build it within teams and relationships
  • Introduce coaching as a leadership approach to support reflection, confidence, and growth
Day 2: Aims and Objectives
  • Reflect on key learning from Day 1 and how it has been applied in practice
  • Explore personal preferences and how they influence responses to change
  • Develop greater awareness, adaptability, and confidence in leading through change
  • Practise coaching skills to support others in feeling heard, supported, and empowered
Coaching and mentoring have been shown to enhance leadership, resilience, confidence, and teamworking, making them highly valuable approaches for Lead Nurses navigating change.
Additional Information
We will reimburse your Practice/PCN for your time, providing 6 hours backfill per day at £45 per hour
You will receive a digital CPD certificate from Medtribe once you have completed the survey.
