NHS Research and Development
This is a space for health and care staff within the two ICS regions of Lancashire & South Cumbria and Cheshire & Merseyside to access support around developing skills in research. These forums are open to all health & care staff that are interested in sharing good practice and enhancing skills in research. The two ICS regions have recently joined a collaboration. LSC Chairs – Nichola Verstraelen, Alison McGloughlin and Gillian Southgate C&M Chairs – Joanne Patterson, Lyvonne Tume, Ian Jones and Michelle Briggs Within this space you can find recordings from previous forums and slides from previous presentations so we can share good practice from around the regions. We will have three shared meetings across the year and report to the ICB region boards.
The NIHR is funded by the Department of Health and Social Care to improve the health and wealth of the nation through research.
Working in partnership with the NHS, universities, local government, other research funders, patients and the public – we fund, enable and deliver world-leading health and social care research that improves people’s health and wellbeing and promotes economic growth.
We are also a major funder of applied health research in low and middle income countries, work that is principally funded through UK government international development funding.
