Lancashire and South Cumbria Practice Nurse and AHP update forums
We have set up 4 new style forums for 2026-2027. Each forum will be 2 hours long. The first 30 minutes will be an opportunity to:
- Share best practice
- Discuss common challenges encountered in practice
- Learn how colleagues are approaching similar issues
- Build relationships and professional networks
- Access valuable peer support in a safe and supportive environment
As a Training Hub, we receive regular queries from clinicians across primary care. Often these reflect common themes, new ways of working, updates to guidance, or challenges that many teams are experiencing at the same time.
This forum creates an opportunity to explore these topics collaboratively, share experiences, and identify practical solutions together.

The remaining 90 minutes of the session will be hosted by Jeannie Hayhurst who is clinical lead for cardio vascular disease prevention. Jeannie will talk about tobacco, physical exercise, diet, blood pressure and pulse and the effects on long term conditions in particular CVD. At the end of her presentation there will be the opportunity to “ask the expert”.
- You will receive a certificate post training for your attendance. Places are limited, if you have booked a place, please ensure you attend.
