GP Programmes and Offers
GP Retention Scheme
This scheme is aimed at doctors who are seriously considering leaving or have left general practice due to personal reasons (caring responsibilities or personal illness), approaching retirement or requiring greater flexibility.
Mentorship/Coaching for new to Primary Care GP's
The GP Mentoring and Coaching offers recently qualified GPs across Lancashire and South Cumbria the opportunity to access six personalised mentoring and coaching sessions over a 12-month period.
Delivered digitally by experienced mentors, the programme is open to GPs who have started working in general practice or a PCN within the last 24 months.
Next Generation GP
Next Generation GP is a funded national leadership programme for trainees and new GPs. To engage a new generation of leaders in primary care, equipping them with the skills and networks to succeed, and empowering them with the belief that they can translate insight into impact.
Observe GP
Observe GP is an alternative to work experience for aspiring medics aged 16 and over, who are living in the UK. It is a free interactive video platform providing insights into the role of a GP and the wider primary care team.
Professional Education and Development (PED) Courses
The Professional Education and Development (PED) Course is a two-year programme that supports GPs in developing their leadership, professional and personal skills through residential modules, virtual learning and peer support, with the opportunity to gain a postgraduate qualification.
Post-CCT Fellowships
Combining dedicated personal development time with clinical practice, the fellowship helps participants build portfolio careers while contributing to local healthcare priorities
