Recognising uncontrolled asthma and knowing the next step.
At the end of this session you will be better able to:
- Recognise features of uncontrolled asthma and identify future risk factors for exacerbations.
- Conduct structured reviews to optimise adherence, inhaler technique and modifiable risk factors before stepping up therapy.
- Escalate treatment appropriately, including the use of LAMA add-on therapy and triple therapy where indicated.
- Identify when specialist referral is required and document clear, defensible management plans.
