Safe Surgeries Training for GP practices in Lancashire and South Cumbria

All bookings are subject to our cancellation policy (details can be found here www.lscthub.co.uk). If you do not attend you/your employer will be charged at the cost of the course. The cost is stated in the non funded ticket section

A Safe Surgery can be any GP practice that commits to taking steps to tackle the barriers faced by many migrants in accessing healthcare. The Safe Surgeries network offers training, support, resources and expertise to the GP practices that are part of the network.

We invite all practices to attend, even those accredited as Safe Surgeries. The invite is open to clinical and non-clinical practice staff. We would like to welcome as many practice staff as possible particularly those working on reception.

The aim of this training is:

To provide an understanding of entitlement to NHS Care in England
To understand the barriers faced by refugees and migrants when accessing healthcare
To share practical steps to create an equitable and welcoming GP Practice for everyone
To recognise how important all staff are in a person’s healthcare journey
