Chaperoning in Primary Care (for non-clinical staff)

This online Primary Care Chaperone course is designed for non-clinical staff who may be asked to act as chaperones and require formal training in intimate examinations.

About this course:

GMC and CQC Aligned: This course meets strict standards set by the General Medical Council and Care Quality Commission, ensuring you receive training that complies fully with healthcare regulations.
Culturally Sensitive: We raise awareness of cultural diversity so chaperones can ensure all patients feel safe and respected, regardless of background or identity.
Interactive and Engaging: Delivered over three hours, our training encourages conversation, questions, and sharing of real-life examples.
Focused on Primary Care Settings: Unlike generic chaperone courses, ours is specifically tailored for general practice staff.
In-Depth Understanding of Intimate Examinations: Learn to appreciate each patient’s unique preferences and vulnerabilities, and become aware of unconscious biases that may affect patient comfort.
Safeguarding and Reporting: Understand your role in safeguarding and how to report any concerns or complaints raised before, during, or after the examination.

This is an interactive session and you will be expected to interact. Please ensure you have a camera and microphone available to attend the meeting.
