UCLan Primary care education meetings – Evidence-based medical education

Event placeholder
Enhance your teaching skills in primary care with our tailored education meetings, blending theory and practice to refine clinical teaching skills.

Primary Care Education Meetings are designed for both current and prospective placement providers, as well as clinicians within the primary care sector. This series of concise Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is tailored to enrich and broaden the skill sets of practitioners involved in teaching students in the medical field.

We are accustomed to supporting our clinical decisions with evidence and would like to do the same for our teaching practice. However, the evidence base for medical education is much weaker. In our fifth and final meeting, we look at why this is so and discuss the kind of evidence we most urgently need in education.
