safeTALK – Free suicide alertness training – Colne
The course is a 3 ½ hour face to face training session in PAC’s training room in Colne.
Most people with thoughts of suicide don’t want to die—instead, they are looking for a way to work through the pain in their lives. Through their words and actions, they usually invite others to help them in making a choice for life. safeTALK teaches participants to recognise these invitations, engage with the person with thoughts of suicide, and connect them with resources to help them be safer from suicide.
½ Day Course
2 Rigby Street Colne
Learners must be 16 years and over to attend. To be eligible for a FREE placement, you must live/work/study/volunteer within the Lancashire County Council border. Excluding Blackpool and Blackburn with Darwen.
