PRIMARY CARE

Central Lancashire

Central Lancashire Training Hub supports and works alongside the 53 practices based in our region which covers the Preston, Chorley and South Ribble area. In addition, to supporting the individual practices in our area, we work closely with the Lancashire & South Cumbria Training Hub team as well as neighbouring localities. The combined teamwork across all regions enables us to facilitate educational and development programmes.

Placements

Student Placements

As a locality training hub, our role is to link with universities and secure practice placements for students. We recognise it is important for students to learn about life in primary care so that they have the opportunity to consider this as a career pathway.

Predominantly in our area, we link with universities such as University of Lancashire, University of Cumbria and Edge Hill.

The Training Hub supports a range of placements such as Nursing, Pharmacy, Physician Associates along with others.

If you are not currently a training practice and are interested in pursuing this pathway, please contact [email protected] (Operations Manager) and [email protected] (General Practice Education Facilitator).

Practices are required to complete a Unified Learning Audit (ULE) which we can support you with.
