Assisting someone to quit smoking is a life saving intervention. Very Brief Advice on Smoking (VBA+) is designed to promote quitting and can be delivered in almost any situation with a person who smokes in less than 30 seconds. This 30 minute module will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed so that you can feel confident in delivering VBA+.

GatewayC is an online educational platform for UK primary care professionals (like GPs) to help them improve early cancer diagnosis.
Access is free (funded by LSC Cancer Alliance) for all primary care staff within Lancashire and South Cumbria.

Urgent Suspected Cancer (USC) referral
Cancer Research UK provide a useful interactive PDF guiding you through the referral guidance for different symptom presentations.
Cancer Maps are a valuable in-clinic tool developed by Dr Ben Noble and Patrick Noble. They help GPs recognise symptoms fast, so they can refer patients earlier.

Ovacome Ovarian Cancer Training recording
March is Ovarian Cancer Month: Ovacome have released the recorded Ovarian Cancer Training recording.
The aim of this training is to support Healthcare Professionals having conversations during cervical screening appointments, and dispel the widely held view that cervical screening assesses ovarian health.
