The training module is designed to enhance understanding of the European Registry of Hereditary Pancreatitis and Familial Pancreatic Cancer (EUROPAC), its role in early detection, and the importance of timely referrals for individuals at risk. The e-learning module will help primary care colleagues to gain an insight into the goals and scope of the EUROPAC study, key criteria for referral and demonstrate how early referral and screening can impact patient outcomes.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the most challenging cancers to diagnose early. The EUROPAC study aims to identify individuals and families at increased genetic risk, offering screening and support to aid in early intervention and research. The training programme is particularly aimed at healthcare professionals involved in primary care, secondary care, oncology, genetics and related fields and will equip clinicians with the knowledge to recognise eligible individuals and ensure appropriate, timely referral to the EUROPAC programme.
