SUMMARY:Influenza and Covid Update Training
DESCRIPTION:In line with the Public Health England\, L&SC PCTH have developed a training session for the National Covid Vaccination Programme and National Influenza Flu Programme 2022-23 . \n  \nSign up to this 3 hour virtual update available for all staff who are intending delivery of Flu and Covid vaccinations this year. This will include details of flu strains this year\, the eligibility cohorts\, administration and delivery of the vaccination. \nIt is optional to stay on at the end for an Anaphylaxis refresher (this Anaphylaxis refresher will not replace the usual update/e-learning you must complete). \nFor further government/NHS guidance\, please visit our Covid Vaccination resources page here and our Influenza Vaccination resources page here. \n  \nYou will receive a certificate post training for your attendance. DESCRIPTION:OVERVIEW \nThe course aims to really expand the understanding and knowledge of chaperoning in primary care. The course examines the problematic stereotypes of which patients will be offered a chaperone and in which circumstances. \nWe then go on to examine the roles and responsibilities of chaperones\, including developing their knowledge as to an extended definition of intimate examinations\, where to stand\, what to say and do. \nWe also discuss what information should be reported after a chaperoning consultation and their role in the event of a complaint being made. \n  \nAIMS \n\nClarifying definitions\nThe concept of ‘intimacy’\nRoles and responsibilities of the partners and the chaperone\nWhat the chaperone should be looking for whilst present\nIssues of consent: when and how it should be gained\nRisk areas in conducting intimate examinations\nChallenges to the gmcs ‘same sex chaperone’ guidance\,\nThe themes to be addressed in a practice chaperone policy\nReporting concerns\nProviding a chaperoning policy\n\n  \nWHO SHOULD ATTEND? \nNon-Clinical Primary Care Staff
