DESCRIPTION:This is a face to face session is for new fitters \nLocation: (Seminar Room) Lytham Primary Care Centre\, Victoria Street Lytham FY8 5DZ \nThe day will consist of: \nDelivery by our super trainer Joanne Motley \nThis is for delegates new to Ring Pessary and will include theory and practical on a gynae dummy. \n\nCompetency sign off for delegates new to ring pessary \nIf you are new to ring pessary you will need a competency sign off assessor. \nIdeally this would be completed in your Practice by someone who is appropriately trained in ring pessary. An appropriately trained person is someone who has completed ring pessary training and is confident and competent in this procedure. \nAlternatively we have women’s health supertrainers who are able to sign off those who do not have a trained ring pessary fitter in Practice.

DESCRIPTION:Available throughout the year at different locations you will be able to experience a hands on approach with the support of a clinical educator! \nLocation: Room (Seminar Room) Lytham Primary Care Centre\, Victoria Street Lytham FY8 5DZ\, Victoria St\, Lytham FY8 5DZ \nWe have added some extra skills onto our sessions to broaden the experience on attending! \n\nTopics covered in the sessions are:\n\n\nManual blood pressures plus looking at normal parameters and targets\nInjection Technique\nVenepuncture\nInhaler technique\nPeak flow technique\nBlood oxygen levels using a pulse oximeter.\n\n\n\nThe workshops welcome General Practice Nurses\, Health Care Assistants\, Nursing Associates\, Trainee Nursing Associates\, Advanced Nurse Practitioners\, Student Nurses\, Student Nurse Paramedics\, Physician Associates… anyone with a clinical role within Primary Care that is already trained in the topics above. \n\n\nNew to practice and want to have some hands-on experience with a mannequin to gain skills and confidence or if you are an experienced practitioner and want to refresh your skills then this is the workshop for you! \n\n\nWe have equipment available in the workshops to enable you to practice your skills and get hands-on experience with the support of a friendly clinical educator plus a practical handbook to guide you through. \n\n\nPlease note that these workshops are not a formal training session and the purpose is to support delegates in building on knowledge and skills already learnt from previous formal training.\n\n\nDelegates must join the session from the start time and leave once they feel they have gained enough from the workshop: there is no requirement to stay for the full 3 hours. DESCRIPTION:The aim of this paediatric phlebotomy training course is to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge\, skills\, and confidence to safely and effectively perform paediatric blood draws. Please note that you must meet the pre-requisites before applying for this course. \nLocation\n1st Floor Conference Room\, Fatima Health Centre\, 228 Garstang Road\, Preston\,  PR2 9QB \nCourse Summary\nThis phlebotomy course is designed to teach you the skills and knowledge to safely and effectively perform paediatric phlebotomy. The course covers key topics such as patient consent and interaction\, pain relief\, blood collection methods and physiological differences across age groups. \n\nPlease note: This course contains a full practical (face-to-face) session.\n\nWill attending this training make me competent?\nIn short\, no. The training Caring for Care that provide includes classroom competency sign-off however\, you will require ‘workplace competency sign-off\,’ after completing the course.
