SUMMARY:Phlebotomy/Venepuncture Training - Preston
DESCRIPTION:The aim of this phlebotomy training course is to teach learners how to safely take blood samples for tests or donation\, while keeping patients comfortable and following UK health and safety guidelines. The training is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience. \n*This training is delivered at a cost of £67.50 per place for Social Care employees. Before you book on the course\, please make sure that your employer has agreed to cover the cost as they will be billed. If you are unable to attend you must cancel your place as soon as possible and no later than 48 hours before the event. If you do not attend without prior cancellation or cancel within our 48 hours notice period you will be charged.\n\nLocation\n1st Floor Conference Room\, Fatima Health Centre\, 228 Garstang Road\, Preston\,  PR2 9QB \nUpon entering Fatima Health Centre\, please make your way to the 1st floor where you will find a waiting room situated on the left-hand side of the balcony. Please take a seat here and your trainer will collect you. \n\nCourse Summary\nThis phlebotomy course is designed to teach you the skills and knowledge you need to succeed as a phlebotomist. You will gain hands-on practice using a lifelike arm simulator to master venepuncture techniques. \nThe course covers key topics such as anatomy\, blood collection methods\, patient interaction\, safety from bloodborne diseases\, and the ethical guidelines you must follow. DESCRIPTION:We host a Virtual Forum for PCN Lead Nurses/Representatives\, once a month (day and time changes monthly to allow accessibility to all). \nThe Forum provides useful resources\, regular update of communications from local Integrated Care Board such as Infection Control and Safeguarding and National Steer. It allows nurses to share best practice and innovation across the system\, collectively raise any nurse issues and provides peer support. \n\nAs part of the General Practice Nurse Programme in Lancashire and South Cumbria\, we have funding for a Lead Nurse in Primary Care Networks to join our collaborative. The collaborative is continuing the work from the GPN10PP to collectively work together to support all nurses in Primary Care.

DESCRIPTION:The aim of this phlebotomy training course is to teach learners how to safely take blood samples for tests or donation\, while keeping patients comfortable and following UK health and safety guidelines. The training is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience. \n*This training is delivered at a cost of £67.50 per place for Social Care employees. Before you book on the course\, please make sure that your employer has agreed to cover the cost as they will be billed. If you are unable to attend you must cancel your place as soon as possible and no later than 48 hours before the event.
