SUMMARY:2023/24 Safe\, reliable processes (Reliable Design) I
DESCRIPTION:Safe\, reliable processes I (Reliable Design) \nSafe\, reliable processes (reliable design) focusses on how we design reliable processes that lead to consistently good and safe care delivery.  This module will introduce the key concepts and principles behind reliable design and consider their relevance in and application to primary care\, using examples taken from clinical practice.  It will also explore the importance of understanding the reasons behind adverse events in order that harm can be prevented.  A step-by-step framework for putting these principles into practice will be introduced so that delegates can take away some practical actions to apply in their own context. \nLearning outcomes\nBy the end of the webinar\, participants will be able to: \n\ndescribe factors affecting safety and reliability in primary care\nutilise a robust framework that enables teams to build reliability into their processes\napply the learning gained to set out practical next steps to ensure processes are safe and reliable\n\nSafe\, reliable processes II (Reliable Design) \nThis module will enable you to improve the safety and effectiveness of your primary care processes to 95% by using the SAFE approach. This involves the identifying any errors (actual or potential)\, determining the nature of any contributing failures\, prioritising starting points\, and determining actions that could be taken to reduce the likelihood of errors occurring or causing harm.  Participants should have attended session I. \nLearning outcomes\nBy the end of the webinar\, participants will be able to: \n\nTo understand how reliable processes link to safe outcomes\nTo be able to complete a SAFE assessment of a standardised process\n\nThis webinar is for GPs\, Practice Managers\, Practice Nurses\, Clinical Pharmacists\, anyone in lead roles in NHS general practice and Primary Care Networks. \nThe sessions are delivered by experienced Primary Care Transformation Team faculty members\, comprising practice-based clinicians and non-clinicians and improvement experts who have worked extensively with general practice and wider primary care. \nRegistration for each session will close two working days before the webinar or earlier if oversubscribed.  \nEnquiries: england.capabilitypct@nhs.net
