DESCRIPTION:The aim of this phlebotomy training course is to teach learners how to safely take blood samples for tests or donation\, while keeping patients comfortable and following UK health and safety guidelines. The training is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience. \n*This training is delivered at a cost of £67.50 per place for Social Care employees. SUMMARY:2 Day Health Coaching in person - Morecambe
DESCRIPTION:This 2 day programme (11th September and 18th September 09.30-17.00) is designed to support practitioners from all health\, care\, community and voluntary sectors to learn how to use health coaching effectively in their current roles. It will give you the opportunity to build on the many skills you already possess and learn how a health coaching approach can very usefully support your work. \nThis is a highly interactive programme with an emphasis on skill practice and development. The programme will be delivered using a participative and experiential learning process supported by expert input. We will create many opportunities to practice skills and challenge you to identify how you can apply their learning to your own work place settings. Further\, the programme will provide an opportunity to discuss applications of health coaching in your system\, develop relationships and network with others. \nWe emphasise skills for embedding health coaching through on-going practice\, reflection and planning as reflexive practitioners. We follow-up these programmes with a series of e-learning based health coaching shots that comprise brief inputs and memory aids to support you in the application of their learning after the workshop. \nPlease note that even though these courses are funded\, please make every effort to attend. if you are unable to attend please let us know as early as possible so that someone else may benefit\, thank you!

DESCRIPTION:The aim of this phlebotomy training course is to teach learners how to safely take blood samples for tests or donation\, while keeping patients comfortable and following UK health and safety guidelines. The training is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience. \n*This training is delivered at a cost of £67.50 per place for Social Care employees. Before you book on the course\, please make sure that your employer has agreed to cover the cost as they will be billed. If you are unable to attend you must cancel your place as soon as possible and no later than 48 hours before the event. DESCRIPTION:This training event will enable you to reflect on and further develop your knowledge and skills necessary to your role as a locality clinical supervisor and relevant for clinical supervisors​​. \nWe have changed the format of this training based on feedback. \nYou will receive the training slides for this event 7 days prior to the scheduled date for you to read through and digest in your own time- please book some time to do this. \nOn the training day we will meet for 90 minutes to discuss clinical supervision and to answer any queries you have. \nThis training event will enable you to reflect on and further develop your knowledge and skills necessary to your role as a locality clinical supervisor and relevant for clinical supervisors​​\nAims\n\nHave an increased knowledge and understanding of Clinical Supervision\, linking theory to practice ​\nDifferentiate between Clinical Supervision and line/performance management and between Clinical Supervision and teaching​\nNegotiate Clinical Supervision contracts and structure processes\, accordingly\, taking in to account individual learning styles\n​Develop reflective interpersonal and supervisory skills such as:  reflective practice; giving guidance\, joint problem solving\, and offering feedback to enable the development of effective supervisory relationships.​  ​​\n\n\nThis is an interactive session and you will be expected to interact. Please ensure you have a camera and microphone available to attend the meeting.\n\nYou will receive a certificate post training for your attendance. DESCRIPTION:The aim of this paediatric phlebotomy training course is to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge\, skills\, and confidence to safely and effectively perform paediatric blood draws. Please note that you must meet the pre-requisites before applying for this course. \nLocation\n1st Floor Conference Room\, Fatima Health Centre\, 228 Garstang Road\, Preston\,  PR2 9QB \nUpon entering Fatima Health Centre\, please make your way to the 1st floor where you will find a waiting room situated on the left-hand side of the balcony. Please take a seat here and your trainer will collect you. \n\nCourse Summary\nThis phlebotomy course is designed to teach you the skills and knowledge to safely and effectively perform paediatric phlebotomy. The course covers key topics such as patient consent and interaction\, pain relief\, blood collection methods and physiological differences across age groups.\nPlease note: This course contains a full practical (face-to-face) session.\n\nWill attending this training make me competent?\nIn short\, no. The training Caring for Care that provide includes classroom competency sign-off however\, you will require ‘workplace competency sign-off\,’ after completing the course. Caring for Care will provide you with the relevant workbooks and competency proformas to be observed and signed off within the workplace according to your local policy.\n\n\nAttendance/Cancellation\nWe allow cancellations up to 7 days prior to the event. \nCancellations with less than 7 days’ notice will be charged retrospectively for fully funded places at the same rate as paid for places\, or no refunds will be given for paid places. \nAll cancellations must be made via your Medtribe account by clicking onto the course.
