DESCRIPTION:This bespoke\, two-day virtual course is for GPs and Advanced Clinical\nPractitioners working at Advanced Practice (Level 7) who wish to start their\ntraining career by clinically supervising the wider workforce in a Primary Care\nLearning Environment. \n\nDay 1 – Thursday 16th October 2025 (9am – 5pm)\nDay 2 – Wednesday 19th November 2025 (9am – 5pm)\n\nNow including add-on module: Foundation Doctors Supervision Training and Foundation Doctors Practice Accreditation. \nThe course will allow delegates to develop their teaching skills and\, on completion\nof selected workshops\, will enable them to supervise specific disciplines within\nthe wider workforce. \nBy the end of the course\, delegates will: \n• Have knowledge of the disciplines they wish to supervise and how to identify their\nlearning needs.\n• Be able to structure a teaching session for a learner and be aware of basic\nteaching methods.\n• Be able to teach and assess workplace communication skills.\n• Know the disciplines they wish to supervise and how to identify their learning\nneeds.\n• Have developed their own personal learning plan related to their role as a\nsupervisor.\n• Be able to supervise a wide range of primary care workforce learners\, including\nNurses\, ACPs\, Physician Associates\, Paramedics and Pharmacists \nPlease see this information flyer for full details and complete this sign up form to express your interest.

Please note that you must meet the pre-requisites before applying for this course. \nLocation\nDarwen Health Centre\, James St W\, Darwen BB3 1PY \n\nCourse Summary\nThis phlebotomy course is designed to teach you the skills and knowledge to safely and effectively perform paediatric phlebotomy. The course covers key topics such as patient consent and interaction\, pain relief\, blood collection methods and physiological differences across age groups.\n\nPlease note: This course contains a full practical (face-to-face) session.\n\nWill attending this training make me competent?\nIn short\, no. The training Caring for Care that provide includes classroom competency sign-off however\, you will require ‘workplace competency sign-off\,’ after completing the course. Caring for Care will provide you with the relevant workbooks and competency proformas to be observed and signed off within the workplace according to your local policy.\n\nAttendance/Cancellation\nPlaces are limited\, if you have booked a place\, please ensure you attend.\n\n\nIf you are no longer able to attend\, please cancel your place as soon as possible.
