SUMMARY:Phlebotomy/Venepuncture Training - Irwell
DESCRIPTION:The aim of this phlebotomy training course is to teach learners how to safely take blood samples for tests or donation\, while keeping patients comfortable and following UK health and safety guidelines. The training is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience. \n*This training is delivered at a cost of £67.50 per place for Social Care employees. Before you book on the course\, please make sure that your employer has agreed to cover the cost as they will be billed. If you are unable to attend you must cancel your place as soon as possible and no later than 48 hours before the event. If you do not attend without prior cancellation or cancel within our 48 hours notice period you will be charged.\n\nLocation\nIrwell Medical Centre \, Rochdale Road\, Bacup\, OL13 9NR \n\nCourse Summary\nThis phlebotomy course is designed to teach you the skills and knowledge you need to succeed as a phlebotomist. You will gain hands-on practice using a lifelike arm simulator to master venepuncture techniques. \nThe course covers key topics such as anatomy\, blood collection methods\, patient interaction\, safety from bloodborne diseases\, and the ethical guidelines you must follow. You will receive a certificate post-training for your attendance. \nPlease note: This course contains a full practical (face-to-face) session.\n\nWill attending this training make me competent?\nIn short\, no. Caring for Care’s classroom-based assessments are designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and workplace competency. Furthermore\, they will provide you with the relevant workbooks and competency proformas to be observed and signed off within the workplace according to your local policy.\n\nAttendance/Cancellation\nPlaces are limited\, if you have booked a place\, please ensure you attend.\n\nIf you are no longer able to attend\, please cancel your place as soon as possible. DESCRIPTION:Description\nAims of the Course \nMaking Every Contact Count (MECC) is the opportunistic delivery of consistent and concise healthy lifestyle information via brief or very brief behaviour change interventions\, enabling individuals to engage in conversations about their health at scale across organisations and populations. MECC provides an opportunity to discuss health and wellbeing lifestyle pathways which can support and enable behaviour change for key risk factors including smoking\, alcohol\, healthy weight\, physical activity and mental health and may link to local social prescribing offers. \nWho is the course aimed at? \nThe course is aimed at anybody interested in having meaningful conversations and continue from the 90 minute online session \nHow long is the course? \nThe course is delivered over a one day session in person in Blackpool. \n  \nThough this course is offered to you fully funded\, please make every effort to attend once you have enrolled\, or make us aware so that someone else may benefit.
