DESCRIPTION:Aims of the Course \nThe module supports anyone who is not a physical activity specialist by supplying high quality and evidence based physical activity training that develops knowledge\, skills and confidence to integrate relevant physical activity messages and interventions into everyday conversations. On completion you will have awareness of: \n\nThe MECC approach and how this can be applied in your setting.\n\n\nWhat is meant by physical activity (including awareness of the latest Chief Medical Officer’s guidelines).\n\n\nHow to deliver healthy lifestyle messages linked to physical activity\, to encourage people to change their behaviour.\n\n\nWhere suitable resources for signposting can be found.\n\nWho is the course aimed at? \nThe course is aimed at anybody interested in looking to support physical activity conversations in the workplace or community. It is particularly useful for workplace health champions\, and those who are responsible for workplace health and wellbeing strategies. No previous knowledge is required in order to obtain the content of this course. \nHow long is the course? \nThe course is delivered over a 2.5 hour online session. \n

SUMMARY:Phlebotomy/Venepuncture Training - Kendal
DESCRIPTION:The aim of this phlebotomy training course is to teach learners how to safely take blood samples for tests or donation\, while keeping patients comfortable and following UK health and safety guidelines. The training is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience. \n*This training is delivered at a cost of £67.50 per place for Social Care employees. Before you book on the course\, please make sure that your employer has agreed to cover the cost as they will be billed. If you are unable to attend you must cancel your place as soon as possible and no later than 48 hours before the event. If you do not attend without prior cancellation or cancel within our 48 hours notice period you will be charged.\n\nLocation\nRoom 4\, Education Centre\, Westmorland General Hospital\, Burton Rd\, Kendal LA9 7RG \n\nCourse Summary\nThis phlebotomy course is designed to teach you the skills and knowledge you need to succeed as a phlebotomist. You will gain hands-on practice using a lifelike arm simulator to master venepuncture techniques. \nThe course covers key topics such as anatomy\, blood collection methods\, patient interaction\, safety from bloodborne diseases\, and the ethical guidelines you must follow. You will receive a certificate post-training for your attendance. \nPlease note: This course contains a full practical (face-to-face) session.\n\nWill attending this training make me competent?\nIn short\, no. Caring for Care’s classroom-based assessments are designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and workplace competency. Furthermore\, they will provide you with the relevant workbooks and competency proformas to be observed and signed off within the workplace according to your local policy.\n\nAttendance/Cancellation\nPlaces are limited\, if you have booked a place\, please ensure you attend.\n\nIf you are no longer able to attend\, please cancel your place as soon as possible.
