SUMMARY:Chaperoning
DESCRIPTION:OVERVIEW  \nThe course aims to really expand the understanding and knowledge of chaperoning in primary care. The course examines the problematic stereotypes of which patients will be offered a chaperone and in which circumstances.  \nWe then go on to examine the roles and responsibilities of chaperones\, including developing their knowledge as to an extended definition of intimate examinations\, where to stand\, what to say and do.  \nWe also discuss what information should be reported after a chaperoning consultation and their role in the event of a complaint being made.  \nAIMS  \n\nClarifying definitions \n\n\nThe concept of ‘intimacy’ \n\n\nRoles and responsibilities of the partners and the chaperone \n\n\nWhat the chaperone should be looking for whilst present \n\n\nIssues of consent: when and how it should be gained \n\n\nRisk areas in conducting intimate examinations \n\n\nChallenges to the gmcs ‘same sex chaperone’ guidance\, \n\n\nThe themes to be addressed in a practice chaperone policy \n\n\nReporting concerns \n\n\nProviding a chaperoning policy \n\nWHO SHOULD ATTEND?  \nNon-Clinical Primary Care Staff  \nWHAT DO I NEED?  \n\nMS TEAMS (join on the app or online) \n\n\nPen/Paper \n\n\nPreferably a camera and mic to participate \n\nHOW LONG IS THE COURSE?  \n3 hours (Virtual)  \nHOW TO JOIN?  \nYou will receive an email a couple of days prior to the event with all training materials and a link to join the MS Teams training session.  \nBy signing up you agree for your information to be stored and shared by the Training hub\, with the Training Provider and with NHSE and ICB\, for the delivery of this training\, monitoring\, reporting and certification purposes only.

SUMMARY:Group Mentoring for Managers - Cohort 6
DESCRIPTION:As a Manager\, or an Assistant Manager who aspires to become a Practice Manager\, there are times when we need a little extra help. The offer is for group mentorship with a long standing experienced manager and qualified coach. This is a safe and confidential space to bring your thoughts and worries to take part in a facilitated conversation. \n\nEach group of 12 will be offered 4 sessions. Each session is 1 ½ hours in length. After each session they will be sent a write up of the sessions and anything relevant handouts as discussed in the session. If they cannot attend a session they will still get all of the handouts and write ups as they are part of the group. It is an interactive session- they must attend with a working camera and microphone as this is mentorship- so they will be talking and interacting. Everything discussed is confidential within the sessions.\nWe are putting on 4 sessions. You must sign up to all 4 sessions even if unable to attend all – simply select the date from the drop down box.Please do not share this link with anyone as all participants must be approved \n\n\nSESSIONS\n1) Thursday 15th January 11.30am -1.00pm  Juggling time:\nThis session will look at juggling our time to complete everything – delegation and ways to manage time in the management role. Please bring with you your stories and areas that you want to discuss.\n2) Wednesday 28th January 11.30am-1.00pm  Finance:\nThis session works through finance questions that you have – from understanding your GMS statement to how to make the surgery more profitable. Please bring your questions and discussion topics with you.\n3) Thursday 12th February 9.30am -11.00am HR situations for discussion:\nThis session is a safe space to come with all of the questions that you have on HR – from partnership issues to staff disciplinary and grievances. Please bring your questions and discussion topics with you.\n4) Tuesday 24th February 12 noon- 1.30pm   Resilience :\nThis session works through managers trying to remain resilient in challenging times – hints and tips. Please bring your questions and discussion topics with you.\nAlthough the headline subjects are in place- the mentees are able to ask burning questions if they have had a difficult situation that week etc.
