Available throughout the year at different locations you will be able to experience a hands on approach with the support of a clinical educator! \n\nTopics covered in the sessions are: \n\nVenepuncture\nObtaining a Manual Blood pressure\nInjection Technique\nCervical Sample Taking\n\n\nThe workshops welcome General Practice Nurses\, Health Care Assistants\, Nursing Associates\, Trainee Nursing Associates\, Advanced Nurse Practitioners\, Student Nurses\, Student Nurse Paramedics\, Physician Associates… anyone with a clinical role within Primary Care that is already trained in the topics above. \nNew to practice and want to have some hands-on experience with a mannequin to gain skills and confidence or if you are an experienced practitioner and want to refresh your skills then this is the workshop for you! \n\nWe have equipment available in the workshops to enable you to practice your skills and get hands on experience with the support of a friendly clinical educator plus a practical handbook to guide you through. \n– Please note that these workshops are not a formal training session and the purpose is to support delegates in building on knowledge and skills already learnt from previous formal training. \nDelegates must join the session from the start time and leave once they feel they have gained enough from the workshop: there is no requirement to stay for the full 3 hours. These conversations may fit within an appraisal\, job plan or one-to-one line management discussion\, and should be reviewed at least annually. As part of this conversation\, line managers will be expected to discuss the individual’s health and wellbeing\, and any flexible working requirements\, as well as equality\, diversity and inclusion.” \n  \nVision for the wellbeing conversations \nHealth and wellbeing conversations are intended to be regular\, supportive\, coaching-style one to one conversations that focus on the wellbeing of our NHS people. \nBy encouraging organisations to embed wellbeing conversations across their system\, we aim to create cultures where people feel heard and valued\, and in which diversity is respected. People with Parkinson’s rely on the medications they take every day to control their symptoms and need individualised care to achieve this. Available throughout the year at different locations you will be able to experience a hands on approach with the support of a clinical educator! \n  \nTopics covered in the sessions are: \n\nVenepuncture\nObtaining a Manual Blood pressure\nInjection Technique\nCervical Sample Taking\n\n  \nThe workshops welcome General Practice Nurses\, Health Care Assistants\, Nursing Associates\, Trainee Nursing Associates\, Advanced Nurse Practitioners\, Student Nurses\, Student Nurse Paramedics\, Physician Associates… anyone with a clinical role within Primary Care that is already trained in the topics above. \nNew to practice and want to have some hands-on experience with a mannequin to gain skills and confidence or if you are an experienced practitioner and want to refresh your skills then this is the workshop for you! \n  \nWe have equipment available in the workshops to enable you to practice your skills and get hands on experience with the support of a friendly clinical educator plus a practical handbook to guide you through. \n– Please note that these workshops are not a formal training session and the purpose is to support delegates in building on knowledge and skills already learnt from previous formal training. \nDelegates must join the session from the start time and leave once they feel they have gained enough from the workshop: there is no requirement to stay for the full 3 hours. In addition\, delegates may attend to access one of the pieces of equipment or all of them! DESCRIPTION:Naomi will be talking about the population health approach taken in Central Lancashire for residents living with respiratory conditions such as COPD and asthma. \nNaomi will demonstrate how the Respiratory Resilience Over Winter project has helped to support our most vulnerable residents with respiratory conditions\, helping them to manage their conditions; supporting them through clinical as well as social prescribing interventions to assess the deeper determinates of health\, and enabling them to stay well over winter. \nEveryone is welcome that has an interest in population health\, COPD and CORE20PLUS5 and working to improve health outcomes and reduce inequity. \nPlease join us for what promises to be both an interesting but also much needed session on this important topic as now is the time to start making plans for winter respiratory care.
