SUMMARY:Wellbeing Conversations Training
DESCRIPTION:Managers and Leaders: Join us for a L&SC PCTH Wellbeing Conversation Session! \n  \nWhat is a wellbeing conversation? \nThe NHS People Plan 2020-21 sets out an ambition: “From September 2020\, every member of the NHS should have a health and wellbeing conversation and develop a personalised plan. These conversations may fit within an appraisal\, job plan or one-to-one line management discussion\, and should be reviewed at least annually. As part of this conversation\, line managers will be expected to discuss the individual’s health and wellbeing\, and any flexible working requirements\, as well as equality\, diversity and inclusion.” \n  \nVision for the wellbeing conversations \nHealth and wellbeing conversations are intended to be regular\, supportive\, coaching-style one to one conversations that focus on the wellbeing of our NHS people. \nBy encouraging organisations to embed wellbeing conversations across their system\, we aim to create cultures where people feel heard and valued\, and in which diversity is respected. This should\, in turn\, encourage us all to pass care and compassion on to each other\, to patients and to our families. \nWellbeing conversations should consider the whole wellbeing of an individual (e.g. physical\, mental\, emotional\, social\, financial\, lifestyle\, safety) and identify areas where the individual may need support\, signpost them to that support\, and regularly monitor their wellbeing over time. \n  \nIf you are no longer able to attend\, please cancel your place via Eventbrite. If you are struggling with booking or cancelling your place\, please contact us on mbpcc.lscthub@nhs.net \nBy signing up you agree for your information to be stored and by the Training hub and shared with NHSE and HEE\, for the delivery of this training\, monitoring\, reporting and certification purposes only.

SUMMARY:Parkinson’s disease in primary care
DESCRIPTION:Location\nOnline via WebEx at 13:00 – 14:00 \nAbout the event\nThis on the couch conversation will provide the opportunity for an honest conversation about why primary care pharmacy colleagues may hesitate to make or suggest changes to Parkinson’s medicines and how they can develop the confidence to make a difference in the lives of these patients. \nWhy it’s important\nThere is no cure for Parkinson’s and currently no medications which impact disease progression. People with Parkinson’s rely on the medications they take every day to control their symptoms and need individualised care to achieve this. Pharmacy staff in primary care can make a huge difference through support for medication review and optimisation in Parkinson’s.  This webinar will share information and ideas to show how the pharmacy team can add value to the care of these patients. \nWhat will be covered\n\nA consultant pharmacist’s perspective on how the pharmacy team can contribute to optimising medicines in Parkinson’s\nExamples of primary care pharmacy interventions and contributions\n\nSpeakers\nA range of speakers from SPS and other organisations will run this event. \nNon-SPS Speakers\nShelley Jones\nConsultant Pharmacist\, Neurosciences\, King’s College Hospital\, London \nKaren Kite\nLead Clinical Pharmacist\, Solihull Rural PCN \nSPS Speakers\n  \nThe session will be hosted by Barry Jubraj\, supported by Nicola Wake.
