DESCRIPTION:New for 2023 Lancashire and South Cumbria Training Hub are offering Clinical Skills Practice Workshops! Available throughout the year at different locations you will be able to experience a hands on approach with the support of a clinical educator! \n  \nTopics covered in the sessions are: \n\nVenepuncture\nObtaining a Manual Blood pressure\nInjection Technique\nCervical Sample Taking\n\n  \nThe workshops welcome General Practice Nurses\, Health Care Assistants\, Nursing Associates\, Trainee Nursing Associates\, Advanced Nurse Practitioners\, Student Nurses\, Student Nurse Paramedics\, Physician Associates… anyone with a clinical role within Primary Care that is already trained in the topics above. \nNew to practice and want to have some hands-on experience with a mannequin to gain skills and confidence or if you are an experienced practitioner and want to refresh your skills then this is the workshop for you! \n  \nWe have equipment available in the workshops to enable you to practice your skills and get hands on experience with the support of a friendly clinical educator plus a practical handbook to guide you through. \n– Please note that these workshops are not a formal training session and the purpose is to support delegates in building on knowledge and skills already learnt from previous formal training. \nDelegates must join the session from the start time and leave once they feel they have gained enough from the workshop: there is no requirement to stay for the full 3 hours. In addition\, delegates may attend to access one of the pieces of equipment or all of them!
