SUMMARY:Lancashire and South Cumbria Nurse and AHP Quarterly Update Forums
DESCRIPTION:Lancashire and South Cumbria Practice Nurse and AHP update forums \nWe have set up 4 new style forums for 2026-2027.  Each forum will be 2 hours long.  The first 30 minutes will be an opportunity to: \n\nShare best practice\nDiscuss common challenges encountered in practice\nLearn how colleagues are approaching similar issues\nBuild relationships and professional networks\nAccess valuable peer support in a safe and supportive environment\n\nAs a Training Hub\, we receive regular queries from clinicians across primary care. Often these reflect common themes\, new ways of working\, updates to guidance\, or challenges that many teams are experiencing at the same time. \nThis forum creates an opportunity to explore these topics collaboratively\, share experiences\, and identify practical solutions together. \nIf there is a particular topic you would like discussed during the peer support session\, please email:\n📧 mbpcc.lscthub@nhs.net \nThe remaining 90 minutes of the session will be hosted by Jeannie Hayhurst who is clinical lead for cardio vascular disease prevention.  Jeannie will talk about tobacco\, physical exercise\, diet\, blood pressure and pulse and the effects on long term conditions in particular CVD.  At the end of her presentation there will be the opportunity to “ask the expert”. \n\n\nThis is an interactive session and you will be expected to interact. Please ensure you have a camera and microphone available to attend the meeting.\n\n\nYou will receive a certificate post training for your attendance. DESCRIPTION:October – Access\, Digital & Nursing Models  \nDES: Access improvement\, digital  \nLES: Access innovation  \n\nNursing-led triage and same-day response \n\n\nNHS App use\, digital inclusion \n\n\nRemote monitoring and virtual care \n\nLancashire and South Cumbria Primary Care Training Hub’s PCN Lead Nurse Forums are held monthly for 30 minutes \nThe Forum provides useful resources\, regular update of communications from local Integrated Care Board such as Infection Control and Safeguarding and National Steer. It allows nurses to share best practice and innovation across the system\, collectively raise any nurse issues and provides peer support. \n\nAs part of the General Practice Nurse Programme in Lancashire and South Cumbria\, we have funding for a Lead Nurse in Primary Care Networks to join our collaborative. The collaborative is continuing the work from the GPN10PP to collectively work together to support all nurses in Primary Care.\n​\n​This is an interactive session and you will be expected to interact.
