DESCRIPTION:We host a Virtual Forum for PCN Lead Nurses/Representatives\, once a month (day and time changes monthly to allow accessibility to all). \nThe Forum provides useful resources\, regular update of communications from local Integrated Care Board such as Infection Control and Safeguarding and National Steer. It allows nurses to share best practice and innovation across the system\, collectively raise any nurse issues and provides peer support. \n\n\nAs part of the General Practice Nurse Programme in Lancashire and South Cumbria\, we have funding for a Lead Nurse in Primary Care Networks to join our collaborative. The collaborative is continuing the work from the GPN10PP to collectively work together to support all nurses in Primary Care.

SUMMARY:Spirometry Skills Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Event Description\n\n\n\nAvailable throughout the year at Fatima Health Centre\, 228 Garstang Rd\, Fulwood\, Preston PR2 9QB (1st Floor) \nThe session will include verification of the spirometer using a 3 litre syringe and an opportunity to practice performing spirometry with an experienced clinical educator. \n\n\nThe workshops welcome General Practice Nurses\, Health Care Assistants\, Nursing Associates\, Trainee Nursing Associates\, Advanced Nurse Practitioners\, Student Nurses\, Student Nurse Paramedics\, Physician Associates… anyone with a clinical role within Primary Care that is already trained in spirometry \n\n\nPLEASE BRING A DISPOSIBLE MOUTHPIECE TO THE SESSION  \n\n\nPlease note this workshop is not a formal training session and the purpose is to support delegates in building on knowledge and skills already learnt from previous formal training.\n\n\n\nDelegates must join the session from the start time and leave once they feel they have gained enough from the workshop: there is no requirement to stay for the full 3 hours. \n\nIf you have any additional needs or requirements to attend these sessions\, then please contact us.\n\n\nYou will receive a certificate post-training for your attendance. \nIf you have any additional needs or requirements to attend this session\, please contact us at mbpcc.lscthub@nhs.net \n\nBy signing up you agree for your information to be stored and shared by the Training Hub and with the Training Provider\, NHSE and NHS ICB\, for the delivery of this training\, monitoring\, reporting and certification purposes only.

DESCRIPTION:MECC for Mental Health \n  \nThis course will provide you with information about how to use the Making Every Contact Count (MECC) approach\, talking about mental health and where to direct people to within those conversations. \n  \nAims of the Course \n  \nOn completion you will understand: \n\n\nHow mental health and wellbeing affect people in every day settings.\n\n\n\n\nHow to feel confident in discussing mental health and wellbeing.\n\n\n\n\nHow to start and have a mental health and wellbeing conversation.\n\n\n\n\nMental health in the workplace.\n\n\n\n\nAvailable mental health and wellbeing support and resources.\n\n\n  \n  \nWho is the course aimed at ? \n  \nThe course is not only aimed at individuals supporting people with their mental health and wellbeing\, but also those whose roles might not traditionally have any mental health training but have the opportunity to discuss mental health and wellbeing. This could include settings such as libraries\, gyms\, charity support services\, hairdressers\, and other public facing settings. The course could also be used in the induction of new staff and volunteers across a variety of workplaces. \n  \nGENERAL INFORMATION \n  \nThe MECC for Mental Health sessions are delivered free of charge to all participants who are registered via workforcetraining@activelancashire.org.uk and who work for organisations within Lancs & S Cumbria. \n  \nLate Arrival: If you arrive late for a session or you are absent from any session\, we reserve the right to refuse access to the training session if we / trainer feels that you will gain insufficient knowledge or skills in the time remaining. \n  \nNo Show: Candidates who do not turn up to the session / arrive too late to start the session / provide less than 2 days’ notice of cancellation may result in refused access to future training courses that are offered. \n  \nWhere minimum numbers have not been met\, we reserve the right to cancel/postpone courses where necessary. \n  \nCOURSE INFORMATION/REQUIREMENTS \n  \n· Course Name: MECC for Mental Health on-line session via Teams. \n· Please check your training records to ensure you have not already attended this session previously. \n· Once you have been registered on a specific date and time\, an e-mail will be sent to you to confirm your registration including a specific Teams Link. \n· All places on a session are on a first come/first serve basis
