SUMMARY:2 Day Health Coaching in person - Morecambe
DESCRIPTION:This 2 day programme (11th September and 18th September 09.30-17.00) is designed to support practitioners from all health\, care\, community and voluntary sectors to learn how to use health coaching effectively in their current roles. It will give you the opportunity to build on the many skills you already possess and learn how a health coaching approach can very usefully support your work. \nThis is a highly interactive programme with an emphasis on skill practice and development. The programme will be delivered using a participative and experiential learning process supported by expert input. We will create many opportunities to practice skills and challenge you to identify how you can apply their learning to your own work place settings. Further\, the programme will provide an opportunity to discuss applications of health coaching in your system\, develop relationships and network with others. \nWe emphasise skills for embedding health coaching through on-going practice\, reflection and planning as reflexive practitioners. We follow-up these programmes with a series of e-learning based health coaching shots that comprise brief inputs and memory aids to support you in the application of their learning after the workshop. \nPlease note that even though these courses are funded\, please make every effort to attend. if you are unable to attend please let us know as early as possible so that someone else may benefit\, thank you!

This could include settings such as libraries\, gyms\, charity support services\, hairdressers\, and other public facing settings. The course could also be used in the induction of new staff and volunteers across a variety of workplaces.

On completion you will have awareness of: \n\nThe MECC approach and how this can be applied in your setting.\n\n\nWhat is meant by physical activity (including awareness of the latest Chief Medical Officer’s guidelines).\n\n\nHow to deliver healthy lifestyle messages linked to physical activity\, to encourage people to change their behaviour.\n\n\nWhere suitable resources for signposting can be found.\n\nWho is the course aimed at? \nThe course is aimed at anybody interested in looking to support physical activity conversations in the workplace or community. It is particularly useful for workplace health champions\, and those who are responsible for workplace health and wellbeing strategies. No previous knowledge is required in order to obtain the content of this course. \nHow long is the course? \nThe course is delivered over a 2.5 hour online session. \n

DESCRIPTION:We host a Virtual Forum for PCN Lead Nurses/Representatives\, once a month (day and time changes monthly to allow accessibility to all). \nThe Forum provides useful resources\, regular update of communications from local Integrated Care Board such as Infection Control and Safeguarding and National Steer. It allows nurses to share best practice and innovation across the system\, collectively raise any nurse issues and provides peer support. \n\nAs part of the General Practice Nurse Programme in Lancashire and South Cumbria\, we have funding for a Lead Nurse in Primary Care Networks to join our collaborative. The collaborative is continuing the work from the GPN10PP to collectively work together to support all nurses in Primary Care.

This assessment helps support next steps on what would be needed to increase their levels of knowledge\, skills and confidence in order to improve their health and wellbeing outcomes. It can be used to tailor interventions to individual needs\, significantly increasing the likelihood that people will adopt behaviours that contribute to better health.
