SUMMARY:Clinical Supervisor Training for Nurses
DESCRIPTION:This training event will enable you to reflect on and further develop your knowledge and skills necessary to your role as a locality clinical supervisor and relevant for clinical supervisors​​ \nWe have changed the format of this training based on feedback. \nYou will receive the training slides for this event 7 days prior to the scheduled date for you to read through and digest in your own time- please book some time to do this. \nOn the training day we will meet for 90 minutes to discuss clinical supervision and to answer any queries you have. \nThis training event will enable you to reflect on and further develop your knowledge and skills necessary to your role as a locality clinical supervisor and relevant for clinical supervisors​​\nAims\nHave an increased knowledge and understanding of Clinical Supervision\, linking theory to practice ​\nDifferentiate between Clinical Supervision and line/performance management and between Clinical Supervision and teaching​\nNegotiate Clinical Supervision contracts and structure processes\, accordingly\, taking in to account individual learning styles\n​Develop reflective interpersonal and supervisory skills such as: reflective practice; giving guidance\, joint problem solving\, and offering feedback to enable the development of effective supervisory relationships.​ ​​ \nThis is an interactive session and you will be expected to interact. DESCRIPTION:Lancashire and South Cumbria Practice Nurse and AHP update forums \nWe have set up 4 new style forums for 2026-2027.  Each forum will be 2 hours long.  The first 30 minutes will be an opportunity to: \n\nShare best practice\nDiscuss common challenges encountered in practice\nLearn how colleagues are approaching similar issues\nBuild relationships and professional networks\nAccess valuable peer support in a safe and supportive environment\n\nAs a Training Hub\, we receive regular queries from clinicians across primary care. Often these reflect common themes\, new ways of working\, updates to guidance\, or challenges that many teams are experiencing at the same time. \nThis forum creates an opportunity to explore these topics collaboratively\, share experiences\, and identify practical solutions together. \nIf there is a particular topic you would like discussed during the peer support session\, please email:\n📧 mbpcc.lscthub@nhs.net \nThe remaining 90 minutes of the session will be hosted by Jeannie Hayhurst who is clinical lead for cardio vascular disease prevention.  Jeannie will talk about tobacco\, physical exercise\, diet\, blood pressure and pulse and the effects on long term conditions in particular CVD.  At the end of her presentation there will be the opportunity to “ask the expert”. \n\n\nThis is an interactive session and you will be expected to interact. Please ensure you have a camera and microphone available to attend the meeting.\n\n\nYou will receive a certificate post training for your attendance.
