DESCRIPTION:This training event will enable you to reflect on and further develop your knowledge and skills necessary to your role as a locality clinical supervisor and relevant for clinical supervisors​​ \nWe have changed the format of this training based on feedback. \nYou will receive the training slides for this event 7 days prior to the scheduled date for you to read through and digest in your own time- please book some time to do this. \nOn the training day we will meet for 90 minutes to discuss clinical supervision and to answer any queries you have. \nThis training event will enable you to reflect on and further develop your knowledge and skills necessary to your role as a locality clinical supervisor and relevant for clinical supervisors​​\nAims\nHave an increased knowledge and understanding of Clinical Supervision\, linking theory to practice ​\nDifferentiate between Clinical Supervision and line/performance management and between Clinical Supervision and teaching​\nNegotiate Clinical Supervision contracts and structure processes\, accordingly\, taking in to account individual learning styles\n​Develop reflective interpersonal and supervisory skills such as: reflective practice; giving guidance\, joint problem solving\, and offering feedback to enable the development of effective supervisory relationships.​ ​​ \nThis is an interactive session and you will be expected to interact. DESCRIPTION:Aims of the Course \nMaking Every Contact Count (MECC) is the opportunistic delivery of consistent and concise healthy lifestyle information via brief or very brief behaviour change interventions\, enabling individuals to engage in conversations about their health at scale across organisations and populations. MECC provides an opportunity to discuss health and wellbeing lifestyle pathways which can support and enable behaviour change for key risk factors including smoking\, alcohol\, healthy weight\, physical activity and mental health and may link to local social prescribing offers. \n  \nWho is the course aimed at? \nThe course is aimed at anybody interested in learning more around the MECC approach and how this can be cascaded throughout your organisation or through the local community. It will give you the skills and tools to be able to deliver informal/ formal training. \n  \nHow long is the course? \nThe course is delivered over a one day session in person. \n  \nThough this course is offered to you fully funded\, please make every effort to attend once you have enrolled\, or make us aware so that someone else may benefit.
