SUMMARY:Essentials of Menopause - Virtual Session
DESCRIPTION:Please see eligibility criteria prior to booking \nThis session is only available for prescribers\, those who see menopause patients in Practice and have not received prior menopause training. Only 2 places are available per Practice \nEssentials of Menopause Care CoSRH virtual session \nThe Essentials of Menopause Care course is aimed specifically at those providing Menopause Care in Primary Care settings. It provides an interactive half-day with scenario-based learning\, quizzes\, presentations\, time for discussion and questions. \n\nThis course is relevant for Menopause Care providers needing an introduction and provides a useful update for more experienced staff. Courses are delivered in a variety of locations across Lancashire and South Cumbria. Essentials of Menopause Care is not a competency-based course\, and it is not assessed. \n\nAt the end of the course\, you will be able to: \n\n\nAssess women presenting with perimenopausal/menopausal symptoms\nOutline the non-hormonal management options for these symptoms\nExplain the risks and benefits of HRT\nExplain how to use the different HRT preparations that are available\nExplain the management of genitourinary syndrome of the menopause\nDiscuss the contraceptive needs of perimenopausal women and how these can be met\nDescribe the needs of women who have had premature ovarian insufficiency\n\n\n\nIf you have any additional needs or requirements to attend this session\, please contact us at mbpcc.lscthub@nhs.net
