SUMMARY:Immunisation and Vaccination Annual Update Training for Primary Care
DESCRIPTION:The Immunisation and Vaccination Update provides an annual update of current practice in relation to the immunisation schedules in primary care using PHE guidance.\nThis training includes NHS Travel Vaccines given for free under the Crown Scheme and does not include travel vaccines outside this schedule\nThis course is not suitable as foundation training and is only an update and does not cover anaphylaxis or basic life support. This must be completed separately.\nThis course is for Clinical Experienced Vaccinators\, and those who have already been vaccinating and does not include non-clinical Covid only Vaccinators. \nThe course is designed around the updated National Minimum Standards and the competency assessment tool.\nPlease see the link below for a copy of the competency assessment tool for registered practitioners: Immunisation Knowledge and Skills Competence Assessment Tool|Publications | Royal College of Nursing\nThis is an interactive session and you will be expected to interact. SUMMARY:Ring Pessary Face to Face Training - theory and practical for new fitters - Preston
DESCRIPTION:This is a face to face session. \nLocation:  Fatima Health Centre\, 228 Garstang Rd\, Fulwood\, Preston PR2 9QB (1st Floor) \nThe day will consist of: \nDelivery by our super trainer Stella Haythornthwaite \nThis is for delegates new to Ring Pessary and will include theory and practical on a gynae dummy. \nCompetency sign off for delegates new to ring pessary \nIf you are new to ring pessary you will need a competency sign off assessor. \nIdeally this would be completed in your Practice by someone who is appropriately trained in ring pessary. An appropriately trained person is someone who has completed ring pessary training and is confident and competent in this procedure. \nAlternatively we have women’s health supertrainers who are able to sign off those who do not have a trained ring pessary fitter in Practice. \nWe have attached the UK Clinical Guideline for best practice in the use of vaginal pessaries for pelvic organ prolapse \n\nPDF\n\n\nAlthough we have attached our own competency sign off document please refer to your Practice and adhere to your own organisational policy with regards to training and competency sign off. \nOnce you have been signed off as competent we invite you to register as a competent ring pessary fitter on a Lancashire and South Cumbria register. We will make the link to this available to you once you have completed your training\n\nClinical disclaimer\nAttendance at these sessions will show how to deliver the clinical skills and examinations it will not ensure competence. The sessions do not consider any previous knowledge or assumptions of prior learning of those attending. Furthermore\, these videos or training sessions should not be interpreted as setting a standard of care or be deemed inclusive of all methods of care nor exclusive of other methods of care reasonably directed to obtaining the same outcome of results.\n\nThe ultimate judgment regarding competence at being proficient at any of the skills demonstrated must be made following agreed observed sign off from employer in practice. DESCRIPTION:Funded by Lancashire and South Cumbria Cancer Alliance\, Talk Cancer is for anyone in a position to promote health and wellbeing. If you’re having conversations with people and are able to share health messages\, this workshop is for you. \n\n\n\n\n\nLancashire and South Cumbria Cancer Alliance have funded this workshop and it is free for delegates currently employed in Lancashire and South Cumbria.\nIf you do not work in General Practice eg. Community Pharmacy\, please select ‘Other‘ as your locality within the booking form.We encourage attendance from:\n\nAny health and social care professionals\nPeople who work or volunteer in voluntary\, Community\, Faith\, and Social Enterprise organisations (VCSFE)\nPeople who would like to become a cancer awareness champion for their organisation\n\n\nTalking about cancer can save lives. It can break down barriers to seeking help and encourage people to take positive action for their health.
