SUMMARY:Health Coaching - 2 day
DESCRIPTION:This 2 day programme is designed to support practitioners from all health\, care\, community and voluntary sectors to learn how to use health coaching effectively in their current roles. It will give you the opportunity to build on the many skills you already possess and learn how a health coaching approach can very usefully support your work. \n  \nThis is a highly interactive programme with an emphasis on skill practice and development. The programme will be delivered using a participative and experiential learning process supported by expert input. We will create many opportunities to practice skills and challenge you to identify how you can apply learning to your own work place settings. Further\, the programme will provide an opportunity to discuss applications of health coaching in your system\, develop relationships and network with others. \n  \nWe emphasise skills for embedding health coaching through on-going practice\, reflection and planning as reflexive practitioners. \n  \nPlease note that even though these courses are funded\, please make every effort to attend. if you are unable to attend please let us know as early as possible so that someone else may benefit\, thank you!

DESCRIPTION:As a Manager\, or an Assistant Manager who aspires to become a Practice Manager\, there are times when we need a little extra help. The offer is for group mentorship with a long standing experienced manager and qualified coach. This is a safe and confidential space to bring your thoughts and worries to take part in a facilitated conversation. \n\nEach group of 12 will be offered 4 sessions. Each session is 1 ½ hours in length. After each session they will be sent a write up of the sessions and anything relevant handouts as discussed in the session. If they cannot attend a session they will still get all of the handouts and write ups as they are part of the group. It is an interactive session- they must attend with a working camera and microphone as this is mentorship- so they will be talking and interacting. Everything discussed is confidential within the sessions.\n\nWe are putting on 4 sessions. You must sign up to all 4 sessions even if unable to attend all – simply select the date from the drop down box.

Please bring with you your stories and areas that you want to discuss.\n2) Wednesday 5th November\, 9.00am:  Finance:\nThis session works through finance questions that you have – from understanding your GMS statement to how to make the surgery more profitable. Please bring your questions and discussion topics with you.\n3) Thursday 20th November\, 2.00pm:  HR situations for discussion:\nThis session is a safe space to come with all of the questions that you have on HR – from partnership issues to staff disciplinary and grievances. Please bring your questions and discussion topics with you.\n4) Friday 28th November\, 2.00pm:  Resilience :\nThis session works through managers trying to remain resilient in challenging times – hints and tips. Please bring your questions and discussion topics with you.\nAlthough the headline subjects are in place- the mentees are able to ask burning questions if they have had a difficult situation that week etc.\n\nThis is an interactive session and you will be expected to interact. SUMMARY:Paediatric Phlebotomy/Venepuncture Training - Preston
DESCRIPTION:The aim of this paediatric phlebotomy training course is to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge\, skills\, and confidence to safely and effectively perform paediatric blood draws. Please note that you must meet the pre-requisites before applying for this course. \nLocation\n1st Floor Conference Room\, Fatima Health Centre\, 228 Garstang Road\, Preston\,  PR2 9QB \nUpon entering Fatima Health Centre\, please make your way to the 1st floor where you will find a waiting room situated on the left-hand side of the balcony. Please take a seat here and your trainer will collect you. \n\nCourse Summary\nThis phlebotomy course is designed to teach you the skills and knowledge to safely and effectively perform paediatric phlebotomy. The course covers key topics such as patient consent and interaction\, pain relief\, blood collection methods and physiological differences across age groups.\nPlease note: This course contains a full practical (face-to-face) session.\n\nWill attending this training make me competent?\nIn short\, no. The training Caring for Care that provide includes classroom competency sign-off however\, you will require ‘workplace competency sign-off\,’ after completing the course. Caring for Care will provide you with the relevant workbooks and competency proformas to be observed and signed off within the workplace according to your local policy.\n\n\nAttendance/Cancellation\nWe allow cancellations up to 7 days prior to the event. \nCancellations with less than 7 days’ notice will be charged retrospectively for fully funded places at the same rate as paid for places\, or no refunds will be given for paid places. \nAll cancellations must be made via your Medtribe account by clicking onto the course. If you are giving more than 7 days’ notice you can click the “cancel” button. If you are providing less than 7 days’ notice you can email us in the “message us” section of that page on Medtribe. \nAlthough we do not allow cancellations with less than 7 days’ notice\, you are able to substitute a place.
